In my opinion, letter writing is more sophisticated and better than e-mails. This is because letter writing is more thoughtful than typing. When people write letters, they show their feelings more.
For example, when Romeo wrote a letter to Juliet it was much more romantic. He did not just write an e-mail and say "Oh, my dear I love you; reply ASAP."
