Letters vs. E-mails 24

What if you lost your letters, what if some one took them, what if they got burned or they got wet, there are a lot more bad things that can destroy your letters then there are for e-mailing. I still believe that e-mails are better then letters. Just admit it, you lost and I won.

Letters vs. E-mails 23

What if your account got deleted.

Letters vs. E-mails 22

And even if your computer did get burned, what difference would that make. You could just go on another computer and use your account there. Just because your computer got burned does not mean that it will delete your accounts. No harm can happen to your accounts if something happens to your computer

Letters vs. E-mails 21

Virus protection is never 100% you can still get hacked. Yours computer can get burned also.

Letters vs. E-mails 20

Letters are not tangible either. What if there is a fire where you keep your letters or it gets wet and the ink smears and you can not read it. Also, if your computer crashes, your accounts are not deleted and you could easily go on a different computer and use the internet and look at your e-mails. And there are security systems that you can put on your email that protects you from people who want to hack your account or viruses.

Letters vs. E-mails 19

E-mails dont have the garuntee of staying forever because you are relying on techonology. What if your computer crashed, someone hacked your account, your account got disabled?

Letters vs. E-mails 18

E-mails can also be tangible because the e-mail will stay as long as you want unless you delete them or disable your account. And also many people stay on the computer for a very long time, such as me and also you, and neither of us have glasses and we still have very good eye vision.

Letters vs. E-mails 17

Letters are tangible. You can keep them forever. Also, e-mails and being on the computer too long can hurt your vision.

Letters vs. Emails 16

E-mails are more effective because they have spell check on the internet, allowin the emails show the same amount of effort, because often times technology can be unreliable. Typing does take less time, but it makes the content more likely to come out good because internet has speell check.

Letters vs. E-mails 15

E-mailing may save paper but it also uses up energy. http://news.boloji.com/200704/04848.htm
PCs do hurt the environment.

Letters vs. E-mails 14

E-mailing is better because it saves paper and saving paper means saving trees and saving trees means saving the environment. And you can show your feelings by e-mail because you can add the emotion faces such as a smiley face and also say that you are happy so you are expressing your feelings.

Letters vs. E-mails 13

You keep saying e-mails shows the same amount of effort but you are not explaining how. Does this mean you have no answer? And I am posting the same argument because I have a lot to say on it and I think you need a new argument yourself.

Letters vs. E-mails 12

It can still show the same amount of effort and thoughtfulness all you need to is tell the person what you have to say and they know that you put some effort into writing the e-mail. And you are constantly posting the same argument, so does that mean you have no other argument to say?

Letter vs. E-mails 11

It does not have the same amount of effort because when you pay for a letter to be sent that shows effort and thoughtfullness. When you write a letter it is easy to see if someone took their time or not by their handwriting.

Letters vs. E-mails 10

It has the same amount to effort because you are still writing the same thing that you would write in a letter except on the internet.

Letters vs. E-mails 9

You say that e-mails show the same amount of effort as in letter writing but how?

Letters vs. E-mails 8

You can put the same amount of effort and thought into writing an e-mail. if you write sophisticated, the person who you are sending it to will know that you put thought and effort into it. When you write an e-mail, it can have the same effect into it as if you are writing a letter. The only difference is that it is faster. And technology is taking over this generation and not many people write letters anymore. Even older generations are writing emails to each other. I believe that writing e-mails is better than writing letters to each other.

Letter vs. Emails 7

Paying for the internet connection does relate to writing letter and e-mails because you brought up the fact that paying for letters is expensive. Also, e-mails do not show more thought than letter writing. And, even if typing e-mails is faster that shows how unthoughtful someone is and doesn't give much thought on how they want it to look sophisticated.

Letters vs. Emails 6

Most e-mailing sites do not make you pay for your account. And paying for the internet connection has nothing to do with writing emails or letters. Also you can put the same amount of thought and effort into writing an e-mail, the only difference is that writing e-mails are faster than writing letters.

Letters vs. E-mails 5

Writing letter may be expensive but this way they show how thoughtful somone was to pay for the letter to be sent. Also e-mailing is not all free. Don't forget that you pay for internet connection to use the e-mailing site. Also, when some writes a letter you can see how much thought they put into it by their writing. It may be messy or very neat for someone that took careful time to write it.

Letters vs. E-mails 4

Also, writing letters are more expensive to send. You have to pay for the stamps and you have to pay to send the letter. E-mailing is free so you don't have to pay to sent it to talk to someone. And you can get the same feeling with e-mails. It might take time for the person to send it so you could have the same type of feeling.

Letters vs. E-mails 3

I know that back then they did not have computers. I am just using it as an example and I am just trying to say imagine if they did. Also, even though e-mails are reached faster, when you know you are getting mail just waiting for the letter is a great feeling. For example, the awaiting of the letter; you really want to know what will be in it and it's a mystery until you get it. When I get letter in the mail I get very excited just waiting for it because I really want to know what the other person wrote to me.

Letters vs. E-mails 2

Natasha:

I believe that e-mails are better than letter writing because they reach the recipient faster. When you send letters to someone, it takes at least one day for the letter to reach the recipient. I predict that most people would want to get their reply quickly. Also, In the time of Romeo and Juliet, they did not have computers and writing letters was one of the only ways to keep in touch with someone.

Letters vs. E-mails 1

Avni:

In my opinion, letter writing is more sophisticated and better than e-mails. This is because letter writing is more thoughtful than typing. When people write letters, they show their feelings more.
For example, when Romeo wrote a letter to Juliet it was much more romantic. He did not just write an e-mail and say "Oh, my dear I love you; reply ASAP."
